Hogg Heaven BBQ has served the Barnwell community for years. The restaurant serves pit-cooked barbecue, ribs, and chicken quarters. The fried chicken is among the best you’ll find.

It’s the food that has helped Hogg Heaven stand the test of time. As is a longstanding South Carolina barbecue tradition, they offer an all-you-care-to-eat buffet.

On the buffet, you’ll find slaw, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and more.

Another tradition you’ll enjoy at Hogg Heaven is their SC BBQ hash. In the Palmetto State, hash is a thick stew or gravy generally served over rice. It’s made with pork, onion, potatoes and spices

My favorite meats are the ribs and chicken leg quarters. That’s not to say the pulled pork BBQ is not also great.

The sides are all quite good, my faves on the sides are the slaw, potato salad and Mac & cheese. Oh and if the quality of the food wasn’t enough, did I mention that it’s an all-you-care-to-eat buffet?
