Jan’s BBQ Hut
Jan’s BBQ Hut is a roadside eatery in the Cleveland and Marietta area on Greer Hwy. The Hut serves its BBQ from a converted RV. The RV sits beside a small creek and boasts an outdoor seating area for your enjoyment.
Honestly, we couldn’t find a lot of info about Jan’s BBQ Hut. It is also known simply as The BBQ Hut. Definitely call ahead or be willing to take a chance on them being open.
What we have learned is that Janice Cothran is the only owner and does all the cooking. All her food is from scratch.
She smokes all the meat personally using hickory hardwood in her smoker. Jan serves smoked chicken, pulled and chopped pork, and brisket. Smoked chicken salad is a popular item.
All sauces are homemade, including a hot and a mild light tomato-based sauce and a mustard-based sauce.
Sides include homemade mac and cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, and potato salad.
