SUMMARY:Jackson Hook and Cook Festival (SCBA)
DESCRIPTION:A Festival Steeped in Tradition\n\n\n\nThe quaint town of Jackson\, known for its tight-knit community and rich traditions\, is once again preparing to host its renowned Hook & Cook Festival. \n\n\n\nAs the aroma of barbecued meats wafts through the air and the sound of laughter fills the streets\, it's evident that this isn't just any festival; it's a testament to the town's unity and the spirit of celebration. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Look Back at Past Events\n\n\n\nDrawing inspiration from past events\, this year's festival promises to be an even grander affair. In its eighth edition\, the festival saw a footfall of 1\,500 to 2\,000 attendees\, a number that has only grown over the years. \n\n\n\n\nThe 14th edition\, despite challenges like waterlogged roads that led to the cancellation of the fishing tournament\, still managed to draw between 1\,000 to 3\,000 attendees. Such resilience and dedication are what make the Hook & Cook Festival a standout event in Jackson's calendar. \n\n\n\n\nTwo Days of Fun Activities\n\n\n\nSet against the backdrop of the Jackson Pavilion on Main Street\, the festival is a two-day extravaganza. While Friday evenings are reserved for arts\, crafts\, and food vendors\, the highlight is undoubtedly the dessert competition\, where participants vie for the coveted $100 first prize. And as the sun sets\, live music takes center stage\, ensuring that the night is filled with music\, dance\, and merriment. \n\n\n\nSaturday is a day of diverse activities. From car and boat shows to antique displays\, there's something for everyone. \n\n\n\n\nThe Heart of the Festival: Barbecue and Fishing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe fishing tournament\, a staple of the festival\, sees enthusiastic participants launching their boats from the Jackson boat landing. With categories ranging from panfish and bass to striper/hybrid and catfish\, the competition is fierce\, culminating in a weigh-in at the Municipal Complex. \n\n\n\n\nBut what's a Hook & Cook Festival without some mouth-watering barbecue? \n\n\n\nThe South Carolina BBQ Association sanctioned Cook-off is where the magic happens. With cash prizes up for grabs in categories like ribs and butt\, the competition is intense. And for attendees\, it's a gastronomic delight\, with barbecue dinners available for purchase. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGiving Back to the Community\n\n\n\nThe festival also gives back to the community. Past editions have seen donations to institutions like Redcliffe Elementary\, the culinary department at Silver Bluff\, and the NJROTC\, to name a few. \n\n\n\nAs the festival draws to a close\, one can't help but marvel at the sense of community it fosters. As Phyllis Boyd aptly puts it\, "It’s amazing how the small community has grown from this. We have people from all over here\, and it’s just turned into something that people really enjoy; it’s a unified event." \n\n\n\n\nSo\, if you're looking for a weekend of fun\, food\, and festivities\, the Jackson Hook & Cook Festival is the place to be. It's not just an event; it's an experience\, a celebration of community and tradition. And as the sun sets on Jackson\, the memories of the festival linger\, a reminder of the town's indomitable spirit and the promise of many more celebrations to come. \n\n\n\n\nEvent Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay (and more)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nJACKSON SC

SUMMARY:The Barbecue Festival in Lexington\, NC
DESCRIPTION:The Lexington Barbecue Festival: Savoring Tradition in Every Bite \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLEXINGTON\, NC - As autumn leaves begin their colorful descent in North Carolina\, the city of Lexington is abuzz with anticipation. \n\n\n\nThe iconic Barbecue Festival\, a culinary and cultural extravaganza\, is set to return\, promising a day filled with smoky aromas\, soulful melodies\, and a community spirit that's as warm as the grills that will soon be fired up. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Lexington Barbecue Festival: A Journey Through Time\n\n\n\nIn the heart of North Carolina\, the city of Lexington boasts a culinary tradition that has become synonymous with its identity: barbecue. \n\n\n\nThis love affair with smoked pork began in earnest in 1919\, with Sid Weaver setting up a modest tent in the town center. As the years rolled on\, the city's reputation grew\, and so did its number of barbecue joints\, each adding their unique twist to the Lexington style. \n\n\n\n\n\nIt was in this backdrop of burgeoning barbecue fame that the idea for a festival was conceived. In 1984\, a conversation between Joe Sink\, Jr.\, publisher of THE DISPATCH\, and officials from BB&T\, led to the birth of the Lexington Barbecue Festival. \n\n\n\nSpearheaded by Kay Saintsing and produced by Saintsing Management Services\, the inaugural event took place on October 27\, 1984. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat began as a local celebration soon transformed into a grand annual affair\, drawing enthusiasts from far and wide. Over the decades\, the festival has not only celebrated Lexington's unique barbecue style but has also supported numerous civic and non-profit organizations. \n\n\n\nWith the city and Davidson County declaring October as "Barbecue Month\," the festival has become more than just a day's event; it's a month-long celebration of Lexington's rich barbecue legacy. \n\n\n\n\nA Legacy Rekindled:\n\n\n\nIn its 39th iteration\, the festival stands as a testament to Lexington's rich barbecue heritage. Born from a humble discussion in 1984\, this annual event has evolved into a grand celebration\, drawing enthusiasts from across the nation. \n\n\n\nAnd while the festival has seen exponential growth\, its heart remains rooted in tradition. Lexington\, after all\, isn't just a city; it's the Barbecue Capital of the World. \n\n\n\n\nThe Day's Delights:\n\n\n\nOn October 28\, Uptown Lexington will transform into a barbecue haven. \n\n\n\n\nHere's what attendees can expect: \n\n\n\n\nMorning to Night: The festivities kick off at 8:30 am with exhibits\, followed by a grand opening ceremony at 9:00 am. As the day unfolds\, barbecue tents will serve their delicacies from 10:00 am\, culminating in a grand finale concert from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheater.\n\n\n\nSingular in Flavor: While the world of barbecue boasts a myriad of styles\, this festival is a tribute to one alone: the Lexington Style. It's a celebration of hickory-smoked pork shoulders\, basted in a special "dip"\, creating a flavor that's both unique and universally loved.\n\n\n\nEntertainment Galore: With six stages set up\, attendees will be treated to a diverse range of musical acts. While this year's lineup remains under wraps\, if previous years are any indication\, festival-goers are in for a treat.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNavigating the Festival:\n\n\n\nFor those driving in\, ample parking is available in private lots around the festival's perimeter. Community groups\, in a bid to support local causes\, will manage many of these lots. \n\n\n\nA special note for attendees: side streets and alleys are off-limits for parking\, and illegally parked vehicles face towing. \n\n\n\nFor those looking to avoid the hassle of parking\, a shuttle service from Childress Vineyards offers a convenient alternative. This turn-of-the-century trolley isn't just practical; it's a nostalgic journey\, setting the tone for the festival ahead. \n\n\n\n\n\nSafety First:\n\n\n\nIn ensuring that the festival remains a joyous occasion for all\, certain rules are in place. Pets\, coolers\, and personal amplification devices are best left at home. And in a nod to modern security concerns\, all bags and attendees are subject to checks. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Place to Be:\n\n\n\nThe Lexington Barbecue Festival isn't just an event; it's an experience. It's a day where tradition takes center stage\, where every bite tells a story\, and where a community comes together in celebration of its rich heritage. \n\n\n\nAs the smoke rises and melodies fill the air\, one thing is certain: on October 28\, Lexington is the place to be. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay Nearby\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nLEXINGTON WEATHER

SUMMARY:Holy Smokes BBQ Festival
DESCRIPTION:A Culinary Convergence in the Lowcountry\n\n\n\nIn the heart of the Lowcountry\, as autumn casts its golden light on North Charleston\, the Holy Smokes BBQ Festival returns with a sizzle this November. Riverfront Park will once again be the stage for this smoke-filled jubilee\, where over 50 pitmasters and chefs from across the nation will unite to honor the rich tapestry of American barbecue. \n\n\n\nParker Milner of The Post and Courier paints a vivid scene of past festivals\, where the air is thick with the aroma of smoked meats and the sound of crackling fires. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the festival is set to surpass its previous iterations\, presenting a veritable feast with an all-you-can-eat format across four distinct barbecue villages: Texas\, Traditional\, New School\, and Coastal. Each village\, a testament to the diverse culinary techniques that define American barbecue\, invites guests to a journey through flavors and traditions. \n\n\n\nMore Than Just a Festival\n\n\n\nThe festival is steeped in more than just culinary excellence; it is a celebration of community and charity. Aaron Siegel\, chef and co-owner of Home Team BBQ\, recalls the inspirational underpinnings of the festival\, "It would feature good music and food\, but the main mission would be to raise money for charity\," a testament to the event's ethos (Milner). \n\n\n\nAs reported by Milner\, Siegel's vision was galvanized by his experience at Hogs for the Cause\, a renowned barbecue competition and fundraiser that significantly benefits families dealing with pediatric brain cancer. \n\n\n\nIt is this spirit of giving that resonates through the Holy Smokes BBQ Festival\, which in its short history has already donated over $200\,000 to its beneficiaries\, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston and Hogs for the Cause. \n\n\n\nMelodies and Meat: A Harmonious Blend\n\n\n\nThe upcoming festival not only promises an array of delectable barbecue but also an auditory feast with performances by Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country and Lilly Hiatt. The backdrop of the Cooper River sets a picturesque stage for the festival\, further enriching the sensory experience. \n\n\n\nReflecting on the festival's charitable impact\, Anthony DiBernardo of Swig & Swine BBQ and a regular at the festival\, shared\, "I’ve always known that the gift of food could be used to help people\," showcasing the philanthropic heart that beats at the core of the barbecue community (Milner). \n\n\n\nFestival Lineup\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccess and Experience Packages\n\n\n\nTickets\, ranging from $95 to $250\, offer a variety of experiences from general admission to the all-inclusive VIP area\, featuring additional exclusive food and drinks. \n\n\n\nThe pricing strategy ensures that the festival remains accessible while still upholding the quality and variety that have become its hallmarks. \n\n\n\nIn preparation for this grand event\, there is traditionally a special meal shared by the pitmasters and chefs. This pre-festival gathering is not only a testament to the camaraderie within the barbecue community but also highlights the festival's engagement with local culinary talents. \n\n\n\nBarbecue with a Purpose\n\n\n\nMilner aptly describes the festival's dual purpose: a gathering of like-minded individuals committed to preserving the craft of barbecue and a collective effort to give back to the community. \n\n\n\nAs the Holy Smokes BBQ Festival gears up for its third year\, it stands as a beacon of the power of food to unite\, delight\, and contribute to the greater good. \n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation and Map\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay Nearby\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nNORTH CHARLESTON WEATHER

SUMMARY:The Little Mountain Mid-Carolina Pigskin Cook-Off (SCBA)
DESCRIPTION:Fundraising is the Reason\n\n\n\nThe Town of Little Mountain and the Mid-Carolina High School football program will host the annual Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off. They will hold the cook-off in Reunion Park. \n\n\n\nMid-Carolina Head Coach Chris Arnoult decided to launch the event after having the success of hosting his own barbecue competitions previously. \n\n\n\nArnoult felt that bringing The Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off to Mid-Carolina would help benefit the MCHS football team. \n\n\n\n\n\n"The Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off is a fundraiser I started a couple of years ago in Chesterfield\," Arnoult said. \n\n\n\n"I always felt like I was asking the kids to do things to raise money for the program so I wanted to kind of take the pressure off them a little bit.” \n\n\n\nFundraising is the lifeblood of many school programs across the US\, both for athletics and beyond. \n\n\n\nWithout the time and effort of fundraising -- a common additional burden to students\, athletes\, and their parents -- the funds simply would not come from anywhere else and those programs and efforts would suffer. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off "will allow us to make improvements to our facilities\, purchase equipment for the guys\, purchase equipment for the weight room\, help with travel and feeding the guys\, buying Gatorade\," Arnoult said. \n\n\n\n"Facility and equipment is a large portion of that.” \n\n\n\n\n\nLittle Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off Competition\n\n\n\nThe South Carolina Barbecue Association officially sanctioned the cook-off and will provide the judges. \n\n\n\nThey and the teams will arrive around lunchtime that Friday to set up and begin cooking into the next morning. As the host\, the Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off supplies the cookers with a case of Boston Butts. \n\n\n\nThat way all of the meats the cookers use are of equal quality. This provides equanimity\, eliminating a possible advantage for cookers who might otherwise splurge for prime cuts. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe cookers must turn in their entries by 10 a.m. Judges will award prizes to the top five finishers at 2 p.m. Judges score the entries based on presentation\, tenderness\, flavor\, and more. \n\n\n\nFirst place will receive a cash prize of $1\,500 and a trophy (and free entry into next year’s event). \n\n\n\nSecond place will receive a trophy and $1\,000. Third will receive a trophy and $500. Fourth place will receive a trophy. \n\n\n\nThe Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off will also host a People’s Choice Champion where the public will vote on their favorite barbecue\, That winner will receive a trophy and $250. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off held rain or shine. Arnoult said when people buy a ticket\, they will be eligible to get a two-ounce sample of each team. \n\n\n\n“I just think it’s a unique way to raise some money for the program and give something enjoyable back to the community also\,” he said. \n\n\n\nCome out and support Mid-Carolina at The Little Mountain Pigskin Cook-Off! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay Nearby\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nLITTLE MOUNTAIN WEATHER

SUMMARY:Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts (SCBA)
DESCRIPTION:BBQ and Wings\n\n\n\nAre you a fan of barbecue and chicken wings? \n\n\n\nThen you don’t want to miss the Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts at the Sumter County Fair Grounds\, hosted by the Pee Dee Area Council’s Henry Shelor District. \n\n\n\nThe Henry Shelor District consists of Sumter\, Lee\, and Clarendon counties. The Council will hold the event at the Fairgrounds Agricultural Building located at 700 West Liberty Street. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Event\n\n\n\nDuring the two-day event\, patrons who buy 10 tickets for $10 can redeem them for chicken wings (drums and flats)\, hot dogs\, drinks\, and more at "Wing Ding" on Friday night or at the BBQ competition on Saturday. \n\n\n\nAdditional tickets are $1 each. Cook teams serve wings starting when the gates open Friday evening\, and the Wing Ding runs into the night. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, the gates open to the public at 11:00 a.m.   \n\n\n\n\n\nPatrons who purchase a wristband will be allowed to roam from station to station to sample BBQ. You will receive a 2-ounce serving of barbecue at each visit.  \n\n\n\nEach time\, you will present your wristband to the Boy Scout assigned to the station you approach. If you wish\, you may visit a station multiple times\, but you must have your wristband on to receive BBQ. \n\n\n\nIndeed\, you may roam from station to station on Saturday until closing or when the BBQ runs out.  For crowd flow\, late entry may be limited in the early afternoon. \n\n\n\n\n\nFor patrons looking to save money\, the Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts organizers will sell a pass that admits the purchaser all weekend. \n\n\n\nIn short\, all the money raised will go toward funding programs for Cub and Boy Scouts in the Pee Dee Area Council\, which covers 11 counties in Eastern S.C. One of these programs is Camp Coker\, a summer camp in the state. \n\n\n\nOrganizers typically offer a weekend pass option that covers both days. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Competition\n\n\n\nAs for the competition\, the contestants will present their boxed samples to the SCBA Judges in accordance with association rules. \n\n\n\nThe cookers will prepare the butts received from Henry Shelor District and must have their barbecue ready for public consumption no later than 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Patron samples come in two-ounce cups. \n\n\n\nAt 1 p.m.\, vendors will begin selling barbecue by the pound. The barbecue costs only $5 for a half-pound or $10 for a pound. \n\n\n\n\n\n"It's $10 for all the barbecue you can sample\," Glenn Button said. Button serves as the Henry Shelor District chairman and event chairman \n\n\n\nIn addition\, the Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts will sponsor an optional ribs competition.  Contestants who wish to enter the optional ribs competition assume responsibility for providing their own ribs. \n\n\n\nEach of the participating cook teams oversees the management of the rib competition.  After judging\, participants in the rib event decide what to do with the ribs as they choose.   \n\n\n\nIn fact\, contestants in the rib competition may choose to sell their ribs on-premises to patrons that wish to purchase them. \n\n\n\n\n\nHowever\, each individual competitor determines their own prices and presentation of ribs for sale. Patrons are welcome to purchase ribs. \n\n\n\nAs part of the competition\, cook teams from around the state and beyond participates each year. In addition\, the event remains a South Carolina Barbeque Association-sanctioned event. \n\n\n\nAs a result\, the SCBA provides judges for the competitions and will determine the winner of the Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts.  Prizes will be distributed at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. \n\n\n\n\n\nPrizes for the annual Benefit BBQ for Boy Scouts:\n\n\n\n\n$1\,000 BBQ First Place\n\n\n\n$750 BBQ Second Place\n\n\n\n$500 BBQ Third Place\n\n\n\n$250 BBQ Fourth Place\n\n\n\n$100 BBQ Fifth Place\n\n\n\n$250 Wings First Place\n\n\n\n$100 Wings Second Place\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBenefit BBQ for Boy Scouts Sponsors and Extras\n\n\n\nThe event also boasts many sponsors. Despite what many think\, it is virtually impossible to hold such an event without them. Sponsors are essential to the event. \n\n\n\n"I would like to thank all the sponsors\," Button said. "It wouldn't be possible without them." \n\n\n\nVendors will be on hand\, selling water\, sodas\, peanuts\, kettle corn\, and funnel cakes. There will also be a Kona Ice truck selling snow cones. \n\n\n\n\n\n"We'll also have a children's activities area\," Button said. "There will be games\, bounce houses\, and face painting." \n\n\n\nButton wants patrons to remember what BSA is all about. This is reflected in its mission and goal: \n\n\n\n"The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe BSA's goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship\, character development\, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities\, educational programs\, and at older age levels\, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations." \n\n\n\nTickets are typically sold online\, at the gate\, and through local Scouts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay Nearby\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nSUMTER WEATHER

SUMMARY:Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee BBQ Festival (SCBA)
DESCRIPTION:Important Fundraiser\n\n\n\nThe annual Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee BBQ Festival takes place at the Eastern Carolina Agricultural Fairgrounds. The two-day event features competition-quality barbecue smoked by some of the Southeast's best pitmasters. \n\n\n\nThe BBQ Cook-Off stands as one of the major fundraising opportunities allowing the Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee to continue to provide services to local children. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvents and Competitions\n\n\n\n\nFriday – Anything Butt Contest\, 5:00 – 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSaturday - BBQ Cook-off\, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm\n\n\n\n\nThe event kicks off on Friday night. In the Anything Butt contest\, teams cook a dish that is not barbecue. Past entries have included wings\, shrimp and grits\, pineapple upside-down cake\, and banana pudding. \n\n\n\n\n\n"They could prepare their favorite dish of anything they wished\, except barbecue\," noted Joey Edwards\, who serves as director of Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee. "They compete in two divisions in this competition: sweet and savory." \n\n\n\nSouth Carolina Barbeque Association (SCBA) judges select winners for each division\, and the festival also includes an SCBA-sanctioned barbecue competition. \n\n\n\n\n\nMembers of the public can sample the barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Judges from the SCBA determine who takes home trophies and cash prizes. Trophies and cash prizes are awarded. \n\n\n\n“The Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee BBQ Festival is a South Carolina Barbeque Association-sanctioned event\,” Edwards said. “These people travel from event to event to earn points toward the state championship.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Info\n\n\n\nYouth Mentors of the Pee Dee invite the public to come out for both days. Youth Mentors help fill the void in a child’s life when one or more of the child’s parents are absent. Volunteers typically spend two or three hours a week with their mentees. \n\n\n\n“We have about 300 clients\,” Edwards said. “We work with children from single-parent homes and pair them with a mentor with similar interest.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Places to Stay Nearby\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nFLORENCE WEATHER

SUMMARY:Hog on the Hill (SCBA)
DESCRIPTION:Hog on the Hill BBQ Cook-Off overview\n\n\n\nHog on the Hill is an annual barbecue cook-off in Chester that brings together South Carolina Barbeque Association (SCBA) teams and local cooks for a weekend built around smoked pork\, friendly competition\, and a community crowd. It is typically held the first weekend in May and is organized by the Chester Downtown Development Association. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat attendees can expect\n\n\n\nThe event is designed as a downtown-style barbecue gathering where visitors can sample competition barbecue\, listen to live music\, and enjoy family-friendly activities. A kids area and additional attractions are often part of the setup\, making it an easy outing for groups who want food\, entertainment\, and a relaxed outdoor vibe. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBarbecue competitions and categories\n\n\n\nHog on the Hill centers on two main competitive tracks that tend to shape the weekend: \n\n\n\n\nSCBA-sanctioned barbecue cook-off (the main event on Saturday)\n\n\n\n“Anything Butt” competition\, held Friday night\, featuring entries that are not pork shoulder or Boston butt \n\n\n\n\nWinners are typically announced on Saturday afternoon.  \n\n\n\n\n\nHow public tasting typically works\n\n\n\nPublic sampling is usually ticket-based. Cook teams provide small samples to attendees in exchange for tickets purchased at the information booth. This setup lets visitors try barbecue from multiple teams in one stop\, then circle back to favorites before the day wraps up. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMusic\, kid-friendly activities\, and the overall vibe\n\n\n\nIn addition to barbecue\, Hog on the Hill includes live music and a designated kids area. Many attendees treat it like a picnic\, bringing a blanket and settling in to eat\, listen\, and people-watch between tasting rounds. \n\n\n\n\n\nOther happenings nearby\n\n\n\nIn some years\, Hog on the Hill weekend has paired well with other downtown events\, including Chester’s Downhill Derby on Gadsden Street (hosted by the Chester Rotary)\, giving visitors another reason to make a full day of it. (This is often scheduled separately\, so it is best treated as a “may also be happening” bonus rather than a guarantee.) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBringing barbecue home\n\n\n\nFor visitors who want more than samples\, the event often offers a way to purchase barbecue to take home before leaving\, which is a good option for anyone who wants to keep the cook-off flavors going after the weekend. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArea Lodging\, Dining\, and More\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWeather Forecast\n\n\n\nCHESTER WEATHER
