Smoke on the Shrine Lake: BBQ, Competition, and Community

A BBQ Competition Like No Other
Sanctioned by the SBN BBQ Network, the competition features categories for Pork, Ribs, and an exciting Anything Butt competition, where contestants can showcase their creativity by cooking up non-traditional BBQ dishes. Teams will be competing for cash prizes and trophies, making it a fierce and delicious showdown.
Friday Night: Anything Butt Competition
The event kicks off on Friday evening with the popular Anything Butt competition, where cook teams prepare creative dishes that go beyond traditional BBQ. Starting at 5:30 PM, guests can sample unique flavors and vote for their favorite dishes in this People’s Choice competition. With a wide variety of foods to try, this is a fun and flavorful way to kick off the weekend.
Saturday: BBQ Cook-Off and Ribs
On Saturday, the main BBQ competition gets underway. Pitmasters will fire up their grills to compete in both the Porkand Rib categories, serving up mouthwatering BBQ that’s sure to impress. The Grand Champion will be crowned based on their pork and ribs, but there are prizes up for grabs in each category, with winners taking home cash and trophies. Judging takes place at 12 PM, and you won’t want to miss the chance to sample some of the finest BBQ around.
