The 2023 Bands, Brews & BBQ event, presented by Beaufort Memorial Hospital, is a two-day celebration of food, music, and fun that takes place each February in Port Royal, South Carolina.

The event is an official South Carolina Barbecue Association (SCBA) sanctioned event and is dedicated to benefitting the FRIENDS of Caroline Hospice.

On Friday evening, attendees can enjoy the Wing Throw Down, where they can sample wing recipes from participating cookers while listening to live music.

Saturday is the BBQ tasting day, with cook teams from across the Southeast serving their award-winning butts.

In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy live music throughout the day, and the South Carolina BBQ Association will be presenting awards.

Hometown Heroes

One of the awards that is gaining popularity is the “Hometown Heroes” award.

Local teams representing first responders, veterans, education, and healthcare compete for the prize. The winning team will receive $500, a flag, and bragging rights for the year.

Cost to Attend

Admission to the event is free, but those who wish to sample the wings on Friday night or the barbecue on Saturday can purchase tickets for $1 each.

Beer and wine, water, soft drinks, and food from local vendors will also be available for purchase. The event will take place rain or shine.
