What Folks Say about

Beautiful and Comprehensive
What do I like about it? All of it. Must own...you won’t regret it.
“His dad taught them to make the sauce, and his mother taught them how to cook.”
That quote, reported by Betsy Finklea of The Dillon County News, gets right to the heart of Q&J BBQ and More in Dillon. Pastor John Graves and Qu’Ranah Graves built the restaurant around food with family behind it, from the sauce to the plates coming out of the kitchen.
Q&J is the kind of local place where barbecue anchors the menu, but the “and More” part does real work. Ribs and pulled pork sit alongside wings, burgers, steak subs, seafood plates, salads, and Southern sides.
That range makes Q&J useful for more than one kind of appetite. One person can go straight for ribs, another can order wings, and somebody else at the table can land on fried fish or a cheeseburger without feeling like they settled.
The barbecue side of the menu starts with ribs and pulled pork.

Q&J serves rib plates with fries and slaw, along with half slabs and whole slabs for those who came hungry or plan to share. Pulled pork shows up as a plate with fries and slaw, as a sandwich, and in the BBQ Sundae, a loaded-style dish built with french fries, pulled pork, and slaw.
There is also a sampler meal for diners who want a little of the barbecue spread in one order. The menu lists ribs, pulled pork, whole wings, fries, slaw, and toast, which gives first-timers a good way to get a feel for the place.
Wings are another big part of the Q&J menu, especially the Sweet & Smoky wings. That flavor ties neatly back to the family sauce story, giving the menu a house-style thread that runs beyond the barbecue plates.
Q&J BBQ and More is not a ribs-only stop, and that is a big part of its appeal.
The burger side of the menu includes cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, and a low-carb lettuce wrap cheeseburger option. There are also side-order versions for folks who want the burger without the full meal.
The sub section brings in chicken Philly, Philly steak, and pepper steak meals. That gives the menu a grill-and-sandwich lane alongside the barbecue plates.
You will also find chicken tenders, beef hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken gizzards, and chicken livers. It is a broad, local-restaurant menu, not a narrow smokehouse board.

Seafood adds even more reach. Q&J lists whiting, flounder, catfish, croaker, spots, shrimp, oysters, and several fish-and-shrimp combinations. For diners in Dillon looking for a plate with fried seafood, fries, and sides, Q&J has plenty to work with.
The menu also notes smoked turkey legs by pre-order, which is worth keeping in mind for anyone looking beyond the regular plate options.
A barbecue plate is only as good as what rides alongside it, and Q&J gives diners a full slate of sides and add-ons.
The side list includes baked beans, baked mac and cheese, coleslaw, collards, mashed potatoes, fried okra, onion rings, french fries, and sweet potato fries. That makes it easy to build a classic barbecue plate or lean into more of a Southern grill-style meal.

Sauces also get their own attention, especially with the wings. Q&J lists Sweet & Smoky, Carolina Gold, Buffalo Hot, Buffalo Mild, Sweet Red Chili, and Honey Hot.
That mix gives diners a choice between barbecue-style sweetness, mustard-style tang, heat, and sweet-heat combinations. It also helps explain why Q&J works for groups: the menu has enough variety for different tastes without losing its barbecue foundation.

Q&J’s story is also tied to local support in Dillon.
In her report for The Dillon County News, Finklea wrote that Dillon County Council Chairwoman Detrice Dawkins said Pastor John Graves “was a person who loves the community.” Finklea also reported that Dillon Mayor Tally McColl said “the food was delicious.”
Those details matter because restaurants like Q&J are often built as much on neighborhood trust as on menu boards. The food brings people through the door, but the family story and local ties help explain why the place has a following.
Q&J remains rooted in that kind of connection. It is a family-run restaurant with sauce passed down, cooking shaped at home, and a menu built for everyday Dillon appetites.
Q&J BBQ and More is a good fit for diners looking for barbecue with options.

The ribs, pulled pork, BBQ Sundae, sampler plate, and Sweet & Smoky wings give the restaurant its barbecue backbone. Burgers, steak subs, seafood plates, salads, sides, and other grill items fill out the rest of the board.
Come for ribs or pulled pork, but do not overlook the “and More.” At Q&J, that part of the name is not just extra words on the sign.
Among the many Google Reviews, Local Guide Phil Hubbard found a hidden gem not from from I-95:
This place is on a back road in DILLON, SC of all places. Working in Dillon, not a lot of good options for food. Usually just bring some leftovers. Gave these guys a shot tonight. WOW.
Fried chicken wings, crispy, juicy, amazing. The ribs are GREAT. Flavor for days, meat comes right off the bone. Coleslaw was creamy, super good. This place has the best BBQ I've come across in the Carolinas so far. Super impressed. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
Over on Yelp, Tania B shared how Q&J saved her day:
This place is a absolute life saver!!! After waiting in line over a hour at one place then sitting over a hour at another restaurant my husband and I both where extremely tired and hangry !!!
We see this place down the road and walk over to it. When we walked in we where immediately acknowledged and welcomed. The staff was nice and helpful. We ordered our food and we waited no more than 15 minutes and it was on our table. I don't think I've ever been so grateful for food!!! The grilled chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious and my my husband said his burger was fantastic. Thank so very much!!! If this restaurant want not here, my visit would have been one of the worst days of my life!!
