How did I not know this place existed less than 5 miles from my house?
The brisket was out of this world. My son held up each rib and watched the meat fall off. The mac and cheese was great, the coleslaw was great, the toast was great. I was expecting a couple slices of plain bread.
The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean. It truly felt like a family run restaurant. We’ll definitely be going back again…and again…

Big D’s House of BBQ has been open since October 2018, but our first visit was last weekend.
We were not disappointed! The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food came to the table hot (a plus for me).
The six of us ordered a variety of meats consisting of pulled pork, brisket (the favorite), ribs, pulled chicken and even hot dogs for the little ones and all were excellent!
Our sides included mac n cheese (delicious), slaw, Brunswick stew (Yum), fries, beans, and potato salad, and all of them were also very good.
One couple ordered the sweet potato cobbler and stated it was almost as good as Mama’s. The prices were reasonable and the portions were plenty.
Some of us even had small carry-outs when we left. Although it is fairly new, it is already very popular.
We arrived at about 6:00 on Friday night and the line began to form shortly after, so plan accordingly.
We have certainly added Big D’s to our list of regulars and I highly recommend you give Big D’s House of BBQ a try if in the area. I think you will be pleased.”
