Little Pigs BBQ of Seneca

By

Local Favorite with Deep Roots in the Upstate

Little Pigs BBQ in Seneca has been serving up slow-smoked Southern barbecue since 1991, but its ties run deeper than that. As an independent offshoot of the storied Little Pigs BBQ brand—an institution that traces its roots back to the early 1960s in upstate South Carolina—this location carries on a proud tradition of pit-cooked meats and hearty sides.

Owned and operated by veteran Ron Miller, the Seneca branch has built its reputation as a community staple, consistently voted “Best of the Best” in Oconee County year after year. It’s the kind of place where locals don’t just eat—they gather. Whether it’s a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a take-out tray for game day, Little Pigs is woven into the rhythm of life in this part of the state.

Smoked Daily, Served Fresh

Everything at Little Pigs BBQ is cooked and smoked on-site daily using fresh, never frozen meats. That attention to quality is evident across the board, from their award-winning ribs and tender pulled pork to their more recent additions like smoked wings and hand-breaded chicken tenders.

The restaurant has continued to evolve over the years, staying true to its roots while adapting to changing tastes. In addition to longtime favorites, the menu now features items like sweet potato casserole and crisp green beans, offering a little something for everyone.

A Menu That Hits All the Right Notes

The offerings at Little Pigs cover the full range of barbecue cravings. Pork and ribs anchor the menu, but guests will also find smoked chicken, brisket, and rotating specials. Their homemade sides are a draw in their own right—standouts include macaroni & cheese, sweet potato crunch, coleslaw, Brunswick stew, and baked beans.

Little Pigs also caters to crowd-pleasers beyond the smoker. Items like their hand-breaded chicken tenders, fresh salads, and classic banana pudding round out a menu built to satisfy both traditionalists and newcomers alike.

Whether you’re passing through or a Seneca regular, Little Pigs BBQ delivers honest, home-style barbecue with a legacy to match.

What Folks Are Saying

Google Review

Among the many Google Reviews, Local Guide Mary Charbonneau shared her family’s filling experience at Little Pigs of Seneca:

Best BBQ restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time. I had one of their specials which is a BBQ sandwich (with enough BBQ for 2 sandwiches) baked beans, coleslaw and a drink. My husband had the other special which came with french fries, BBQ sandwich and a drink. My granddaughter also had mac & cheese with her sandwich (best mac & cheese we’ve ever had!). We will definitely be visiting this restaurant in the near future!

Yelp Review

Over on Yelp, Ray P from nearby West Union has been a regular at Little Pigs BBQ of Seneca and appreciates their consistency over time:

I’m giving Little Pigs 5 stars based on 4+ years of consistently outstanding food and service. The pulled pork is always completely fat free, tender and delicious! Their coleslaw is the best I’ve had, and the hush puppies and green beans are fantastic.
