Best home cooking in the upstate. Mustard seed offers a daily buffet.

The buffet changes daily and includes items such as meatloaf, country-style steak, pork chops, turkey and dressing, chicken livers, beef livers, salmon patties and fried fish.

The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. weekdays and Sundays, and 7 a.m. Saturdays.

Catering is available. For daily specials, call ahead

The restaurant is off Interstate 26 at Exit 35.

NOTE: BBQ is only served THURSDAY – SATURDAY NIGHT from (3-8PM)

There is a SAT BREAKFAST BUFFET (7-11 AM SATURDAY ONLY)

I absolutely love this place. The facts that, it is truly family owned and operated, the attention to detail, the friendly & welcoming service, and the fact that it’s true southern home cooked food like granny cooked it (if not your granny wasn’t a true southerner).

I grew up a Georgia girl but all my family is from here and North Carolina, and let me just say it taste just like home to all of us. DON’T CHANGE A THING! We’ll if you want to maybe slightly expand the food bars to add more and mayve longer hours i won’t complain..lol😄😍😁

Our second visit to the Mustard Seed and hopefully not our last! I absolutely love this little hidden gem! The couple who own it are very nice and personable and we learned this visit that the husband & his mother do all the cooking. If you’re in the area stop in – you will not leave hungry or disappointed! If you’re not in the area, it’s well worth the drive!!

The four of us enjoyed the buffet which included THE BEST fried chicken ever, chopped steak with grilled onions, kielbasa with bbq sauce, pinto beans, greens, sweet potato casserole (yummm!) mac & cheese, to name but a few of the items. Salad, potato salad, and dessert (strawberry cake, hot peach cobbler, banana pudding, and brownies) were also included in the price of the buffet.

We are not from this area but stop here on our way back from Folly Beach – best meal every trip!
