In the heart of South Carolina’s barbecue scene, Sticky Fingers Ribhouse stands out as a testament to the enduring appeal of authentic Southern BBQ. Founded in 1992 by three high school friends who brought their passion for Memphis-style barbecue from Tennessee to Charleston, Sticky Fingers has grown from a single location to a beloved chain across the Southeast.

“It all started in 1992 with three high school friends, Walldorf, Jeff Goldstein and Todd Eischeid, who all moved from Tennessee to Charleston to open a rib restaurant they named Sticky Fingers,” reports the Post and Courier.

Back to the Roots

Marking its 25th anniversary, Sticky Fingers Ribhouse celebrated by recommitting to the original flavors and ethos that made it a cornerstone of the barbecue community.

With one of the founders, Chad Walldorf, back steering the ship, the restaurant signaled a return to its roots. The Post and Courier highlights this homecoming, noting the founders’ intent to “return the restaurants to their glory days.”

Google Review

Among the many Google Reviews, Local Guide Yuhance Grant felt right at home at Sticky Fingers in North Charleston:

Words can’t begin to explain, express and even enlighten our visit ppl on how good everything was @ this restaurant. From the time that we walked into Sticky Fingers until we left everything was 20+⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The two managers Joey n Moe made us feel like we were sitting @ our own dinner table enjoying a lovely family meal. That was just the customer service displayed to us. As for the atmosphere, very family oriented and relaxed which we loved.

Now, for the main ingredient……the food was awesome, delicious, superb and tasty! It was so good that I’m still licking my fingers. I can sit here and write a book on this establishment, but all I will see is go see for yourself. Here’s a few pics of our appetizer and meals!!!!

Yelp Review

Over on Yelp, Charleston-area local Stephen K found a party at the Sticky Fingers in North Charleston:

We had a birthday celebration there for 14 people, 4 of them kids, on a Sunday afternoon. I made reservations a couple of weeks early to make sure we would all be able to sit together. The new restaurant was neat and clean and has a nice decor.

The staff was awesome. (Tiffany was the head server with Cash as the helper. Both stopped by often and always smiling and helpful. There was one minor issue and they went out of their way to make sure it was handled well.)

The food was the Sticky Fingers of old. Good quantity and excellent quality. Everyone in our group was more than satisfied with the service and the food. We will be back.
