Roadhouse Ribs is a family-owned barbecue restaurant showcasing Lowcountry boils, oyster roasts, and pig roasting. Located in Port Royal, The Roadhouse is a purveyor of classic American barbecue from the southeastern region of the USA.
Come enjoy a whole new flavor of barbeque. We blend the time-honored traditions of the Carolinas, Texas hill country, Memphis, and Kansas City. And we serve it with a flair that is all our own.
Our restaurant is set back from the roadway, tucked under the oaks. Just look for the Roadhouse road sign at 7 Topper’s Lane.

(South Carolina’s barbecue scene is packed with legendary joints and hidden gems. See more BBQ restaurants in SC to discover where to go next in the state or find other great BBQ joints around Bluffton, Beaufort, or Hilton Head.)
Along with our signature spare ribs, pulled pork, and smoked brisket, dive into Roadhouse’s southern comfort foods. Also, enjoy our Cajun and Creole classics, inventive sandwiches, and sides.
And don’t forget our house-made desserts!
We hand-craft our sauce-slathered smoked BBQ plates with your choice of meat. Choose from pulled chicken, beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, spareribs, herb and garlic smoked chicken.
Or you can choose a combo of meats served with two tasty sides.
At Roadhouse, we dry rub our meats with brown sugar and slow-smoke them in a custom-designed oak and pecan wood-filled smoker. One nibble of our succulent beef brisket, and you’ll know why we go through the effort of smoking it for hours.

The pulled pork is a mouth-watering delight for your taste buds. Our smoked and pulled chicken is juicy and tender perfection.
In the mood for a big steak? Our Roadhouse ribeye is 14 oz. of grass-fed, organic beef that makes even the most seasoned meat lover drooling at the table.
Fresh grilled salmon, hand-battered shrimp, and oysters are just a few seafood options available.
Among the many Google Reviews, Beaufort-area local Christopher Velez took a chance on Roadhouse Ribs and regrets not visiting sooner:
I’ve been living in Beaufort for almost 4 years, always drove by this place, and never stopped. Today, my wife and I decided to eat here for our anniversary.
I have to say, I regret not coming here before today.
The staff was polite and professional. The atmosphere was simply great for a nice dinner.
But the food…I have to say that the food was worth every single cent. Smoked Sausage, Ribs, Brisket, Mac-N-Cheese, Hush Puppies…everything was delicious.
From the appetizer to the dessert, my wife and I had an amazing experience.
Highly Recommend stopping and eating here.
Over on Yelp, Brittany S came to town for a visit and had to hit up Roadhouse Ribs twice during her stay:
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve even been to! This place knows how to perfect bbq!
I would recommend calling ahead to make reservations on any night to be safe regardless it’s worth the wait.
I was visiting family for about a week and came to this place twice.
Fried pickles are yummy. Devilish eggs are the best. Ribs are my favorite thing about this place.
The sausage is very good, has a kick to it. Pulled pork is tasty. Beef brisket is also a favorite.
The sides are amazing. Mashed potatoes and baked beans are a must. Onion straws are good.
The apple pie dessert is to die for.
The bartender made some good cocktails. The service is good. Environment is great. Decor is delightful.
THIS IS A MUST if you are in the Beaufort area, especially if you enjoy bbq.
If I had to give one critique it would be, be consistent. I ordered beef briskets both times and it was cut differently the second time not a big deal but it did make a difference.
Can’t wait to visit again and indulge!!
If you’re taking a road trip on Interstate 95, just head toward Beaufort and we’ll be waiting.
