When I started developing BBQ 14 years ago with a ceramic smoker, I would explain to friends that it was cooked in a ceramic smoker similar to a ceramic POT. So I guess you could call it POT SMOKED to which, I guess, I am THE POT SMOKER.
Our Boston butts are smoked for 10-12 hours over a mix of hickory and other exotic wood. I have spent 14 years developing what I consider to be one of the most palette-pleasing rubs on the market.
People who have tried the pulled pork rave about the fact that it is moist, full of flavor, and does not need sauce. But, if you’d like sauce, The Pot Smoker BBQ offers a ketchup-based BBQ sauce, a mustard sauce, and a hot BBQ sauce.
(Of course, South Carolina’s barbecue scene is packed with legendary joints and hidden gems. See more BBQ restaurants in SC to discover where to go next in the state or near you in Aiken.)

Google Review
Among the many Google Reviews, Local Guide Iluzian shared his experience at The Pot Smoker in North Augusta:
Amazing BBQ! We stopped in here on our way to Hilton Head from WNC on a Saturday afternoon and the place was practically empty. I got the pulled pork sandwich with mac’n cheese & green beans (pictured) and my wife got the same with the loaded tater salad and collards. Absolutely amazing all around. This place is a gem!
Yelp Review
Over on Yelp, Amanda V found perfection at The Pot Smoker:
The BBQ is perfection. We’ve done the pork (superb), ribs (super superb) and chicken was good (we go for ribs and pork though but chicken has a nice smokey flavor). The staff is so friendly and knowledgable, every single one I’ve encountered. All times I’ve done take out through the drive through but nice and friendly inside and okay to bring little ones!
