Pistol Jo’s Cherry Point BBQ is a mom-and-pop, owner-operated restaurant that strives to exceed customer expectations with regard to both food quality and customer service.
Our customers are our family, and we’re grateful to those supporting our local business.
We offer up BBQ options along with weekly baby back rib and beef brisket specials. We’re also known for our made-to-order crispy fried chicken that’s packed with flavor.
We’re new to the BBQ game and have enjoyed trying new recipes and getting acquainted with the community.
No hash yet, but soon to come! We currently don’t offer a buffet.

All protein is smoked in an outdoor pit, using mainly oak and pecan.
Our sauces are homemade and equally delicious, though our Sweet Cherry BBQ sauce is among the most popular.

Had my second visit to Cherry Point BBQ today and tried the ribs.
They are currently served on Thursdays and Fridays as of 6/25/20. They were absolutely delicious! Served as individual ribs, they have a fantastic dry rub and come served with a choice of sauces.
The only drawback was that they didn’t come with sides, but the taste… oh, the taste of these! If you’re in the mood for meat and meat only, go with the ribs.
I also picked up a pulled pork plate with baked beans and Mac and cheese. The portions are plentiful and tasty. (The last trip I tried the green beans – great seasonally fresh taste!)
The banana pudding’s in the refrigerator waiting for later, but the one lick I tried tells me it’s not going to last long!
Definitely have a meal at this place if you’re in the mood for everything homemade. Absolutely delicious!

Delicious BBQ, super clean atmosphere, and great service!
I ordered the pulled chicken with fried okra, and my husband had the pulled chicken sandwich with potato salad and mac and cheese… all of the options were homemade and so good!
The meat was tender and juicy… and most importantly – it was perfectly smoked (not overly smoky). Definitely recommend!!
And then there was the sauce! Omg.. so yummy!
We tried the sweet cherry, the vinegar, and the tangy southern- all three made in-house and absolutely delicious!
Also, what is real BBQ without something pickled?
The meals were served with really, really, really good pickles and the best pickled onions! I love pickled food, so the onions were a perfect pair for the BBQ! (My husband hates pickles and refused to try them… more for me!)
Also, want to add it was the end of the day (almost 8 pm on Saturday), they were about to close and they still invited everyone who stopped by to come in and eat!
They were super friendly and inviting to all of the customers, accommodating all requests and making sure everyone had a great meal.
Great job guys! We will definitely be back and spread the word to all our local Bluffton friends!!
