Our new Charleston, SC, location of Martin's Bar-B-Que is located on James Island, right outside of Charleston proper.

When we open a new Martin’s were always looking for a community vibe in a neighborhood setting. When we decided to open a location in Charleston, James Island felt like a natural fit.

This location provides a perfect spot for local families and visitors to the Charleston area to kick back and enjoy Martin's Bar-B-Que's signature West Tennessee-style Whole Hog BBQ.

Martin's hogs weigh in a bit larger than we typically see in South Carolina barbecue. Martin's Bar-B-Que smokes them with hickory wood at a low temperature. First-time visitors should give the whole hog sandwich a try — with the coleslaw on top. The “Redneck Taco” offers smoked meat on top of a cornbread hoecake with sauce and coleslaw.

The full menu full of wings, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs can be found online.

Just like all of our other locations, we come in at 5 AM every morning and smoke a whole hog for 20 hours over coal and hickory chips.

We aren’t just BBQ. We serve some incredibly delicious smoked wings and brisket. At Martin's Bar-B-Que, we make all of our sides and pies right here in-house.
